Around 25,000 homes in Queensland's southeast woke up without power on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms passed over the region, bringing powerful gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Widespread Impact
Residents reported large ice chunks measuring up to seven centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that various areas across Queensland had been hit with large hailstones.
